Barbican Brass - Quintet |

The programme as a whole is light and playful, with the tumbling clowns of Jan Koetsier's Kinderzirkus and a running skit at Kendall's expense that culminates in the tuba player showcasing his solo skills… on a cuckoo whistle. Yet for all the laughs, the room is left in no doubt as to the proficiency of the quintet, from skillful and emotive lead melodies to sensitive and precise accompaniment. Abi Bliss, Muso Magazine |

The concert was simply superb and the audience really was absolutely delighted. Marc Corbett-Weaver, Orpheus Foundation. The audience soon warm to the five musicians, who skip gracefully through the exacting flourishes of Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca, deftly pass the melody of Bach's Little Fugue in G minor between parts and evoke a stately grandeur in Bruckner's Christus Factus Est. |
